Plant Specific Material Status Required Field

Hi Experts,

When I am creating a material, it says Plant specific material status field is required in MRP view. In configuration, where can you see this field is marked as required for DIEN material Type?

In OMS2 for DIEN, we have field reference as DIEN. So, when I had checked OMSR with field reference = DIEN and field selection group = 217, I am seeing that field is optional.

Can anyone please guide me where I have to check so that I can see that this field is marked as required?

Thank you.

Hi

You need to look in transaction OMSR.  The field will be assigned to a field selection group and then the field selection settings for that group will control when the field is required.  This may be something controlled via material type, plant, industry sector or transaction.

You are looking at field MARC-MMSTA which in the system I am working on is assigned to field selection group 51.  This may be different in your system.

Hello,

In our system, this field is included under field sel group-51 and its optional  for all field reference.

Go to tcode: OMS9 and If yours is 127 then check if the field  is required for all the other field reference i.e may be for MM01, MM02.

Can you please share your screen shots of OMS9 so that we can help you out.

Regards,

Priti.

Hi,

Get the field reference from OMS2 for the required material type, then go to OMSR and check the field selection group for the field (MARC-MMSTA, it should be 51). Then go to OMS9, enter the field selection group 51 and check against the field reference (DIEN).
