Standard Roles to ESS users

Dear All,

We have implemented ESS with latest BPs. But we used Leave Encashment, who's who and some ITS applications for  Training.

This implementation is for India specific. Please suggest the following:

1. ESS standard roles to attach users.

2. Users should be communication or Dialog . If we use dialog user , it will affect ESS user license?

1. If you have implemented WDA BPs you can use the standard international ESS role or create a z copy of this role and modify as per your requirement.

2. The user has to be dialog. If you create the users through HRUSER the user created would be a dialog user. This has to comply with your ESS licenses.

Dear Sai,

We have used WDA BPs, WDJ BPs and some ITs application.

Please suggest proper ESS roles that we are to include in a Z composite role.

Have you implemented both the WDA and WDJ BPs? What's the UME source and where the role assignment is happening? Is that on Portal side or ECC side? If it's on Portal side, we can start creating a custom role from scratch with all the relevant applications based on your requirement. If it's in ECC, similarly you can create a Z copy of the standard ESS international role and make changes to that as per your requirement. As ESS international role is a single, the Z copy would be also a single role. Hope this answers your query.
