MoreIntervals button missing

Hello all,

I need to change the deprecation key to "0000".  When i double click on the 01 Dep Key to change it. In the bottom of the screen the "MORE INTERVALS" button is missing.

I have checked the Asset screen layout in deprection area and unable to trace it.

Can somebody let me know what changes to be done, so that  "MORE INTERVALS" icon can see .

OR

Can i change the Dep key from the main screen?  Please advice.

Hi,

please check if there is same button activated in time-dependent tab. Could be authorization issue.

Yes, the button MoreInterval is there in Time-Dependent Tab. I need that same button in Deprecation.Area Tab.

You know, how to bring that button there?

Hi Kumar,

Is Financial Extensions EA-FIN active in table TBE11? The button 'More Intervals' is only available in the new depreciation calculation.

Time-dependent depreciation terms can only be processed by the new depreciation calculation. For some more information also see SAP notes 965032 (4c) and 1155771 for further information.

However, if EA-FIN is active in your system, then a reason why this button may still be hidden, could be that you have later implemented SAP Pilot Release note 984161 - Deactivation of the new depreciation calculation.

hi,

After activation of EA-FIN also still the "more intervals" button Is not displaying .

Any Thoughts.....

See my last reply, could it be that new engine has been deactivated after you activated EA-FIN?

We have not implemented the Note # 984161.

Still the Button "More Interval" is not displaying.

Hi Kumar,

Some more information that you could check: another reason could be that table TABWD_VID contains an entry where transaction ID (VORGID) is set to AMBUAFAR000000000000. This is a special system entry that will disable the new depreciation engine. It is not documented anywhere and not an official setting to make therefore. Yet you could check if that was the scenario in your system. The consequence of such a setting would be that the ANLBZA buttons in the asset master would be hidden and therefore as expected in that case.

Please be advised and keep the following in mind: setting the AMBUAFAR000000000000 entry is regarded, too, as a modification just like a coding change is treated as a modification!

It sounds strange. you need check if the button is displayed in other asset' areas as expected. if so, there might be some table inconsistency in relevant table of the asset.

Hi Kumar,

You should change depreciation key from Asset Master Data.

Goto AS02 and click depreciation area tab and change your depreciation key to 0000.

Note:-

I assume you want to change depreciation key on Asset Master Data!!!
