precalculation server 730 patch 3 error

Dear All

my client required to install precalculation server,

My os is windows 2003 server SP2(x86).

I downloaded & installed latest SAPgui 730 patch 3

                                              latest precalculation server 730 sp3

                                             bi addon 730 patch 300,

                                             dotnet frame work 2.0 sp1

                                             office 2007.

                         but when i run rrmx it is giving rfc error.

i checked gui certificate and parameters for sso  given gui authorization for user still i am facing the issue.

i ran the report through precalculation sever it is giving error input string is not in a correct Format.

My Bw system netweaver 2004s and

SAPKW70020-sap_bw patch level.

Please suggest

Hi Mahipal,

First check if the Precal server has been connected properly and is up and running. This can checked using the T code RSPRECADMIN. You'll be able to check the status of all the precal servers:

If you are getting an error saying that the input string is not in the correct format, then I believe you should check the value of the variables that you have put in the selection screen while creating the variant.

yaa..connection showing green........

and i cross checked so many times in my report their is no wrong.......

My doubt whether i execute that transaction by logining in to sap from where precaculation server is installed or any where else

and what is the server name in adding the entry.............

Dear Mahipal,

Please note that for precalculation to work fine, make sure that Transaction RRMX and refresh for

workbook should be working without any errors on PRECALCULATION SERVER.

As you wrote that RRMX is throwing error so this is the main catch here.
