Hi, when you run MRP, the system reads info from recipe or process/production order?

Hi,

     If the demand is a order reservation, then it considers process/production order. Otherwise it considers the master data based upon the selection ID's given in the MRP plant parameters.

Thanks for the reply, I have another doubt, which is when you run MRP you should have to techo the process orders or raise the demand. If you techo the process order then there would be no information to read from process/production order. And if there is no stock then manually raise the demand in MD61 then I am not sure if it reads the process/production order or not.

Also if you could explain [ If the demand is a order reservation, then it considers process/production order ] bit in detail please.

MRP creates planned orders for PIRs (MD61 demand) and the planned orders have dependent requirements so it reads from planned orders in that case.
