operation start time in production order

Former Member

Dear experts,

i have a production order which contains 3 operations say 0010,0020,0030. my requirement is that 0030 operation should be started after 12 hours from 0020 production starts. i had maintained quee time of 12 hours in operation 0030.but the operation start time of 0030 is  calculating from the operation end time of 0020 .if i am maintaining OVERLAPPING SYSTEM IS NOT CONSIDERING THE QUEE TIME

my process is running like this

operation start time                                           operation end time

operation 0020                        12/4/13    08.30.00                                              12/4/13        22.45.00

operation 0030                        12/4/13    20.30.00                                               13/4/13        02.30.00

system is calculating like this

operation start time                                           operation end time

operation 0020                        12/4/13    08.30.00                                              12/4/13        22.45.00

operation 0030                        13/4/13    10.45.00                                               13/4/13        16.30.00

Thanks,

hari krishna

Hi Harikrishana,

From your post it seems opern 0030 starts 2: 15 hrs befor your opration 0020 ends. In this case simply use the overlapping concept and remove the que time.

Hi,

I didn't understand why you have given the queue time. My suggestion is to maintain the overlapping time as 12 hrs and remove the queue time.

Check and revert back.

Hi krishna,

if i am maintaining the overlapping and minimum overlap time 12 hours ,system is not considering 12 hours it is only considering overlapping

Hi,

What do you exactly mean by it is only considering overlapping, if it is considering overlapping it should overlap by the min overlap time as you are not giving any overlap qty.

Now how it is overlapping..give the scheduled operation times of production order.

Hi krishna,

in normal, say operation 0020 starts at 15/4/13 at 8.00am and ends at 16.00

operation 0030 starts at 15/4/13 at 16.01     and ends at 22.00

i am maintaining required overlapping in operation 0020, minimum overlap time as 4 hrs . ,system should propose like this

operation 0020 starts at 15/4/13 at 8.00am and ends at 16.00

operation 0030 starts at 15/4/13 at 12.00     and ends at 18.00

system is not considering minimum overlap time of 4 hours and considering only required overlapping and system is showing the dates like this

operation 0020 starts at 15/4/13 at 8.00am and ends at 16.00

operation 0030 starts at 15/4/13 at 8.00 am  and ends at 14.00

Regards,

hari
