Manage serial numbers in stock posting in dtw

I am migrating from financial year 2012-13 to 2013-14.I want to move the inventory from one financial year to another.There are many products with serial numbers and these products are creating problem.Some serial numbers are missing and some serial numbers are additional.I can manage few products,but the inventory is in bulk.Managing each and every serial number through the serial number management is tedious task. In the dtw template , there is no provision of serial number. Is it possible to assign the serial numbers in bulk and upload the inventory through stock posting ?
