Hi we are planning on upgrading to SAP Business One 9.0. Is there a B1DE version for this? If not when will it be available?
Thanks,
Costas

Hi Costas,
I've just downloaded it, and it worked fine.

Good luck.

That's strange. I just clicked on your link, but I get this error:
Unfortunately we have trouble completing your download request. Please contact sdn@sap.com for further support.
I have tried with Chrome and Internet Explorer.
I've been trying to implement Your solution for quite a while now. Could You be so kind as to tell me exactly what to do...?
I've changed the references to APIs, built the solution for AddOnCodeGeneratorWizard and copied the files to B1DE Tools folder. Now whenever I try to start a new project VS2010 screams "
---------------------------
Initialization problem
---------------------------
ERROR: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
"
Hi Bartosz,
Usually I re-compile the whole thing and uninstall the previous B1DE and install the new afterwards.
Never tried just copying the recompiled files into the already installed B1DE. I'm assuming the issue is coming from there.
If don't want to have to recompile everything I have a fully functional B1DE install package I can send you (need an email though).
I'm thinking of uploading the code and the compiled packages into sourceforge.net, this way everyone has access to a more recent build. I'll let you know when I do.

Pedro Magueija
This would save sooo much time for me. The email is bartosz.janik@7milowy.pl
You can't imagine how helpfull You're being here
Hi Bartosz,
Could it be related to this problem here: https://scn.sap.com/thread/1946263?
Best regards,
Pedro Magueija
After I click OK in "New Project" window. The selected project is "C# B1 AddOn Wizard". Strange thing is - VS creates the folder for the new project, displays that rotten message and says (in status bar) "project creation successful".
What I am left with from then on is and empty project folder.
Hi Bartosz,
As a last suggestion (and you probably won't like it) I'd say, remove B1 client and DI API (both architectures). Go to the SAP directories (again both arch) and delete any remaining folders of DI API and B1 Client. Also remove B1 DE and delete it's folder.
After that restart (important) and reinstall from scratch. Please note that I don't know if this will fix your problem.
Do you have another machine with B1DE installed? Does it work there? I find this weird mostly because it works well on my environment.
Let me know how it goes.
Good luck.
Best regards,
Pedro Magueija
Hi Bartoz,
I can't really offer any more informed advice since I ran all out of ideas.
Just double check the directories during installation, in the Vs Version you should have input VS2010, and the path to the Vs studio should be something like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0".
Shame I couldn't be more helpful. If you do fix it, please let us know what was the issue.
Cheers.
Best regards,
Pedro Magueija
Well... I did some searching and the thing is definitely connected with registry. At some point the B1Wizard.dll reads from HKLM (looking for SAP folder) and that's where it crashes for me. What I did was something really nasty - I hard-coded SAP path into that DLL bit of code (Globals.Init() to be exact). Now it SEEMS it's going to work - at least a wizard appears when I run "New project".
Hi to all,
I was also in the struggle with this painful error.
I can confirm Bartosz solution by downloading the latest B1DE Source code, and by manually assigning the value of the B1Dir variable as shown in the picture.
Yes, this is hardcoding the path but the main idea is to fix the code that doesn't work in this section.
This code is now working with SAP 9.1.
I hope this helps,
Regards,
Estuardo Boesche
