Impact of changing the Decimals of UOM for Material Master

Hi All,

Now the Material Master UOM 'KM' have decimal Point as 0. Now there is request to maintain the 3 decimal point for this UOM .

Please advise the impacts If i change the decimal point of KM from 0 to 3  in KUNI .

SAP does not know a KUNI transaction. you probably mean CUNI

The only effect is that the users can see the decimals now, while they where hidden before.

And some of these users (maybe even customers and vendors) may be a little confused after this change.

Even with 0 decimals it was always possible to maintain movements with 3 decimals, and SAP posted them without any problem, it just did not show it in MMBE and other transactions.

If you read the section in CUNI where this settings is made, you can know that this is only a DISPLAY setting, nothing more.
