Actual cost of material issues not appearing in the component line item of standard cost reports

Dear PS Experts,

In the project I have issued materials, the actual cost is updating correctly at activity level. If I check CJI3, there also it is getting updated. But the component line item shows plan cost, not the actual cost.

How to get it?

Hi Saravanan,

what procedure you are using to issue goods. If you are issuing goods to activity then this will update on activity and if you are using issue to reservation then this will update component line items.

experts please correct me if i am wrong.

Dear All,

I had tried reconstructing with CJEN. It did not work

I had checked in CNS41 too; there also material cost is not appearing at component level. plan cost of material comes, not actual cost. The t-code of standard cost report is as below

S_ALR_87013532 - Plan/Actual/Variance

And in CJI3 I checked only actual cost.

Besides, after running cost forecasting with CJ9L, when I checked the forecast results, the balance material cost is not reflecting in cost to complete column.

Additionally - the commitment cost(for a service activity - after partial service entry) shown in cost forecast is wrong; but if check commitment report in:S_ALR_87013533 - Plan/Actual/Commitment/Rem.Plan/Assigned , it shows correct value

Even in cost forecast report, if I drill down the commitment cost, correct commitment cost is there.

But it the forecast report, plan cost itself appear as commitment cost* and hence cost at completion is (actual cost + the wrong commitment cost).

Hi,

If CJEN was also not able to rectify the errors means try to run some correction programmes to resolve the errors in budget committment table and line item table updates.

1. RKANBU01 : Transfer Purchase Requistion and Purchase Order Commitments. ( project -Level).

2. RKACOR04: Adjustment Between Line Items And Tota Records.

After running these correction programmes , try to execute CJEN and CJBN  for the project.

I hope this might resolve your incosistency errors.

In addition to Kumar's reply above, please review Note 152571 - Composite SAP note: Missing or incorrect commitments  showing why commitment values are not recorded correctly.

Hi,

In CJI3 no plan costs will be shown up only actual costs.

Check your layout filter settings by mistake if some might have excluded those cost elements or material components or whatever may be.

As Tushar suggested run CJEN and check again CJI3 though it is not required in this but still nice to have it.

check cns41 project structure report select layout with plan or actual cost.

Try reconstructing project info database through CJEN once and observe the report again.
