Client copy only for Customizing and master data

Hi experts

I want to copy a new client in productive environment with only customizing and master data and no transaction data can any one please suggest me what profile should i have to copy is SAP_APPL is the right profile for it.

There is no client copy profile that does what you need. "Application data" includes transactional as well as master data.

There are separate tools that will do this - e.g. TDMS. You can also do a customising copy and then configure ALE to send master data from the source client to the destination client. This latter is how I do it. Neither method is simple, though.

For your suggested method first i have to copy SAP_CUST profile then use ALE to transfer master data to new client but sir i have no idea how to use ALE can u please tell me the steps to do this.

There's a good introduction to the process in this document - . This is for copying between systems, but you can equally create RFC connections between clients in the same system. It is also only for GL and cost center data, but the same principles apply to most types. It should give you enough information to configure any other master data types you need to copy.

The online help in this area isn't bad - you should read through that too.
