MDM Port Status (with file) is showing Empty

Hi,

We are having issues with Auto Import.

This was working correctly some days back and has suddenly stopped.

We restarted MDIS and MDS but it didnot resolve the issue.

What i found was although the Ready folder of the Port has files ,Port status in Console is showing Empty (was excepting -Has Data).

Looks like MDIS is not talking to MDS.

Also MDIS log shows Trace warning "Server instance not supported "

Never came through this issue before.

Any inputs wiould be highly appreciated and awarded.

regards

Vikrant

Hi Vikrant,

I can think 3 possibilities, yet you need to cross check:

1. Please review port details under console to see if default map name is properly embedded.

2.Try to import xml file manually through Import Manager once and see if auto import action is achieved.

Suggestive following information while trying manual import through IM-

          Type: Port

          Remote system: XXXXX(specific to project)

          Port:XXXX(specific to project)

3.Cross check with basis team if there are any issues with server based on error message obtained out of MDIS log.

If you have performed all above activities, try to unload and reload repository if possible. But make sure this considered as last option!

Hi Mir,

Thanks for the reply.

I think what i have discovered is MDS server is not talking to the repositories.

I created  a Port on the repository and Started the repository (using Update Indices) and was expecting the port-Folder structure (Ready,Archive ,Exception etc..) .

But the Port folder structure was not created .

Any inputs what could be the issue.

Hi ,

The issue is fixed.

Problem was with the MDS.ini file.

Repopulated the MDS.ini file with the original parameters and restarted the whole server and this fixed the issue.
