Hello Gurus
I 'd like to know if I have to do a migration to new GL if I'm doing an upgrade of release from an ECC 5.0 to an ECC 6.0 EHP 6.
In the ECC 5.0 the New GL is already active without document splitting, If I upgrade to ECC 6.0 EHP 6 I will have to do a migration if I implement document splitting or not or I have to do the migration in every case.
Thank you in advance
Kindest regards
Giovanni

Hi,
I'm afraid you are mixing two things. Upgrade to more advanced release does not impose to perform any action for New G/L migration, with no connection if it's already activated or not. Of course, if after the upgrade (or before; it does not matter), you would like to change your business process and work with splitting functionalities, you will have to perform certain activities.

Eli

Hi
Which activities I have to perform after or before the upgrade of release, if I want to implement document splitting.
The migration service contains the following functions:
a) General Ledger Migration Cockpit for executing the migration
- Process tree with scenario-based management by the individual
activities of the migration
- Monitor of the migration steps with status management
b) Remote service session to validate the scenario and analyze the system
- Possible consistency checks against target Customizing of the new
general ledger accounting
c) Remote service session to validate tests
- Technical validation checks in a test system after a data
migration
d) Development support by the NewGL migration back office
Kindest regards
Giovanni
