Flexible Performance Management configuration

Hi experts,

As some of you may have noticed, I have posted some questions regarding performance management recently. I am relatively new to the process, and have been having some trouble.

I wish to investigate the flexible performance management process, as it seems the client has some requirements that may not be available in predefined. We currently have the system configured with the predefined process as per Configuration Guide 584, using netweaver business client.

If possible, what configurations steps would need to be done in order to "activate" the flexible process, such that the user will see the flexible process?

Information such as web dynpro activation, business functions, user roles, package parameter changes, etc. I have seen this link: http://help.sap.com/erp_mss_addon10/helpdata/en/a6/92f1a2f59046adb0c648d861ad54ba/frameset.htm. However, I'd like to know if there's any additional information that may be required before I get started.
