Issue in SM21

Hi Experts ,

                      I am facing a strange problem for quite some time. Mine is an Idoc to Idoc scenerio via One PI where I have multiple receivers. The interface is running fine and there is no latency / performance issue .

    The source system is sending the Z idoc with z extension. I have cross checked, there is no issue with the idoc meta data in IDX5 of PI. The source , the PI server and the target all are in sync from idoc structure version perspective.All the systems are receiving data as desired. But still I am getting the following error in SM21. The Basis team is putting this issue as a PI issue , and though there is NO issue with data transfer, still we need to solve this issue .

Several memebers have suggetsed re-import of meta data in IDX5 and ESR, but I have thoroughly check, there is no inconsistency in structure with that in source system , and hence cant request the same , as basis will do it only if here is any inconsistency .

Hi Arnab,

i think the reason for the SM21 entries is:

That IDoc came for first time in (or first time after deleting meta data in IDX5) and PI tried to get meta data from SAP, but the connection was interrupted. So PI repeated the same 3 times with an intervall of 2 minutes. Finally with success because no more entries..

Hi Udo, so you mean to say, this error happned when PI tried to update the metadata from SAP, and failed, and then after 3 attempts was successful, hence no entries, correct me if I am wrong!
