Hi, I have total of 9 years of expereince spreading over auditing/accounting/reporting/analysis/reconciliation, which including 5.5 years in SAP platform as well. Recently i have done my Certification also in SAP FI. I am a post graduate too in Financial Accounting with MCom and PGDFM degrees.

But I still searching for my dream job of SAP FICO implementation. Can somebody advise me, how I could get into the profile or what I lack to achive my goal. I have read many blogs and articles, which not showing me the right channel.

I strongly believe that domain experience is of very much required to go with the implementation.

Best Regards,

Sameer

Hi Sameer,

you have a Rich Experience and certification pertaining to your Moudule but most of the Big Companies do not Prefer Freshers, initially you need to get a Break in some small companies where you can gain Experience and move to Top mnc's.

It only Depends on How you are projecting yourself in the Interviews. There are some companies who Prefer Candidates like you,the only thing you need to search for them.

Sameer,

From my understanding, there is nothing like

SAP Domain experience!

It is SAP experience. And other is domain experience.

In SAP experience - it could be based on your profile (work) e.g. end user, key user, consultant etc.

As an end user you can see the "set-up" e.g. Enterprise Structure.

Now as a consultant (or some who know the what, why and how) - Think why the Enterprise structure was set up that way? How where the entities, processes configured?

Try to practice (the same) in IDES.

The above is in line with the theme of learning and practicing, so that in interviews and later in the job you can add value (contribute) to the client.

Most of the implementation projects are saturated.

It all depends on luck and your name / fame in your organisation to get a chance in implementation project. It does not matter whether it is implementation / support / upgrade, if you have right conviction to learn the things.

Hopefully, this thread would be useful.
