Addition of Custom fields in Personal Data inoftype in ESS

Dear Experts,

I am facing an issue in adding the custom fields to the Personal data detail screen (0002) infotype in the Personnel profile application in ESS.

I tried to add the child elements to the group where i was not able to see the custom fields which i have created in ECC.

I have included the custom fields in 0002 info type in CI Include structure

I have copied the standard HRESS_CC_PER_OVP component into ZHRESS_CC_PER_OVP and made some changes to it.

I have also copied the HRESS_CC_PER_DTL_PERSDATA_IN into ZHRESS_CC_PER_DTL_PERSDATA_IN in the FPM_FORM_UIBB component.

Here in ZHRESS_CC_PER_DTL_PERSDATA_IN I have removed the unwanted fields and also I tried to add the custom fields created in ECC but the same is not available in the child element group.

Please help me in resolving this issue.

Regards,

Mithun K

    Hi Mithun,

In which CI include did you make the changes, most probably you might have made chnages in the CI Include of P0002

You also have to make the changes in the CI include (CI_IN_R0002) of structure HCMT_BSP_PA_IN_R0002

You need to make these two changes, once you make changes in HCMT_BSP_PA_IN_R0002, then it will appear in you Personal data config.

      Hi Vishwanath,

If you want to add custom fields to the Personnel profile application to any of the infotypes. Please follow the following steps,

      1. Include the custom fields inside the componenet type CI_XX_R0002 in the structure HCMT_BSP_PA_XX_R0002 in the case if you need to add the custom fields to the 0002 infotype.

      2. The next step is the fields which you have added will be visible in the FPM configuration but the data from backend will not be displayed and you cannot also edit the custom fields.

      3. For this you have to implement the BADI - HRPAD00INFTYUI. In the BADI implement the two methods,

      a. IF_EX_HRPAD00INFTYUI~INPUT_CONVERSION.

      b. IF_EX_HRPAD00INFTYUI~OUTPUT_CONVERSION.

Please follow the above steps i think you will surely able to see the data from the backeend and also whatever changes you make in portal will be updated in ECC.

      Regards,
