Maintenance problems

Hi,

I am moved to the Maintenance project. And i am new to the BIW. Can anyone suggest or explain what are the loading problems and issues related to Maintenance and how to improve the performance of data loads. If anyone worked on Maintenance projectsn please provide needful information i would be very thankful and Appreciate them.
