Monitoring and Alerting Infrastructure Analysis Tools

Hi,

While going through help.sap.com, I came across below passage;

The End-to-End Monitoring and Alerting Infrastructure (MAI) contains a lot of analysis tools for error handling. They are primarily intended for internal se by SAP, and for SAP Support.

To run the MAI analysis tools, call the transaction MAI_TOOLS. You need the role SAP_SM_TECH_MON_TOOL to call this transaction.

My Questions:

Is this t-code available SP08 onwards? Have any of you tried executing this T code? We are currently in SP07, I am interested to know if  there is any alternative for this t-code in SP07?

Hi Vivek,

I was fairly sure that transaction /nMAI_TOOLS would be available from SP7. Alternatively, you can use the report AC_ALRT_ANALYSIS_TOOLS as mentioned by Theresa. See also SAP note 1791557.

Thank You Theresa and Roland,  AC_ALRT_ANALYSIS_TOOLS is good enough for me untill MAI_TOOLS txn code becomes available.

I am also unable to execute this transaction in SP07 even after adding the role. If you check the SP05 Help documentation you will find you can access the MAI analysis tools via a report: Start transaction SE38, in the Program field enter AC_ALRT_ANALYSIS_TOOLS. execute.
