How MDG supports the functionality "Global Material number". While through searching I could read some content on aspects of MDM supporting this functionality, but could not find the same for MDG. Any inputs on this will be really helpful.

MDG supports key mapping for this purpose as it was in NW MDM. This feature is described in documentation.
