Assigning 2 different roles to the same contract type

Hello Gurus

I have just had a requirement that I should also assign another role to the same contract type, meaning I now have 2 roles to be assigned to the same contract type. In customizing for contract type on section Partner Management on Change View Contract Type Details , I can see that there is a provision for assignment of two roles for a contract type. But now in activating for the contract, an error message is issued that the other BP is also a required field in customizing, such that resultantly I would end up assigning 2 different roles to the same contract for me to be able to activate the contract.

I have tried to check settings on menu path:

Flexible Real Estate Management>Contract>Dialog>Field Groups. Here I checked on the field groups for Partner, and tried changing field group PARTNER, but no effect on the application side.

Where in customising should I make both roles optional to the contract assignment ?
