Hi,

i have two laptops with the sbo installed, they are connected through a Lan. From the Laptop1 (Server) i can manage the database of the Laptop2 (Client) with the Sql Enterprise Manager.

With the SQL Server Service Manager, i can find the Server but i can´t connect to him neither see the services running in the machine.

Solution to solve this, please.

Helder,

I am not clear as to exactly what the issue is. From what you have stated, do you have SAP Business One, in full including SQL Server, on BOTH laptops? If this is the case, are you trying through the SQL Enterprise Manager to administer the other laptops database? This issue does not have anything really to do with Business One as it is more an issue with the SQL Enterprise Manager, but I will give you my thoughts once I have a better understanding of what you are trying to do. For the moment what you can check is that on both laptops that you not only have an ODBC connection to the local Business One SQL Server but also to the remote on each laptop. You can look at this from the Microsoft SQL Server > Client Network utility. Her you should see not only the local server, but the remote server as well. Both should be setup for Named Pipes as well as TCP/IP although TCP/IP would suffice. In the SQL Enterprise Manager you need to be able to register the remote server...so if you have one registered, but cannot see the others Db, then unregister, restart SQL Server and then re-register.

Hope this helps,

Eddy

Possible the "sql server service" on one laptop doesn't use the system account for running.
