HCM-List of infotypes and their brief summary

Dear All,

I am working for a client in Saudi arabia. We have quite a no of modules implemented which includes PA.OM,Negative TIME,PD,Recruitment,ESS,MSS,ECM.

Now Client wishes to improve the HCM system. They would like to capture maximum amount of their business data into various unutilized infotypes.

Currently in PA we are using only close to 25 infotypes.

My query is ,

1.Client would like to go through the list of infotypes in the modules(Say PA) provided by SAP, check against their requirement and see if the particular infotype is required for their business.

Is this approach correct?i know it is a very exhaustive process.

2. Which would be the correct place/link/document which the client can refer, to understand what a particular infotype does at a vey high level.

3.The infotypes which are not applicable for countries other than Saudi Arabia has to be filtered out. Also the submodules in HCM not implemented

like (Say Benefits) should be filtered out.

Kindly suggest your views on the above.

Thanks.

BR,

Rijuraj

Guys,

I managed to get the information pertaining to the infotypes from a variety of sources but now the client too understands that this is not the correct way to improve its SAP HCM system.

SAP being an ERP system the best way is to look at missing processes in your company by comparing it with the SAP standard processes or SAP recommended best practices.

Once the process to be followed by Business is finalized , they can then be mapped in SAP.

Thanks all for your help.

Good day!!

Rijuraj
