Equipment catagory

Hi,

We have one qustion about equipment catagory actually in our organization using three type of catagory i.e IT,M and Testing equipement.

Now at time of implementation we have update some wrong data now question system has been generated catagory wise number itself

now we need to changes which those all equipments added in the system now we updated  IT related wrong data in system and we having a Machines

data like a reactor etc.(shall we update the reactor details in IT catagories equipment)

So shall we change the equipment details or if any impact will happen?

You can change the Equipment category for existing equipments. But still, number range will not get changed as per new category's number range assignment.

If you want to have new number range for those equipment as per new equipment category, then you have to mark deletion flag for existing & create new equipment that will assign number as per new equipment category.

Go to that Equipment in Change mode & follow the menu path Edit - Change Category

In the pop up, give the appropriate category & save.
