Hi all,
suppose a material such as footwear is there of different size like- 8,9,10,11. now if I create single material as sleeper only and not as per size.then how can I track the stock of different size. valuation type in material will be useful? or classification or variant configuration is good? or I should create materials as per size.
Thanks & Regards
Vivek Varun
Hi,
As very right said by Mr. Jeevan, you have to go with SAP IS (AFS).
In AFS The materials are characterized by this data according to certain characteristic values, for example size, color and quality, which influence the entire logistical process.

SAP R/3 may not address your requirement in an efficient way, SAP has industry specific solution called AFS for footwear and apparel industries in which the material attributes (characteristics) such as style, color, size, and width are dealt with in a more efficient manner.
You can read about it below:

If you have no choice but to use R/3, you may either create separate material numbers or use batch management.
