Configuring the EDIFACT Message Format

Hello,

I have a problem with Message Editor in B2B SP1:

I want to define a new EDIFACT message type, but when I opened Message Editor, a warning message "Your user has Read-Only permissions!" was displayed and "Create Message" button was disabled.

I read "Security Guide SAP NetWeaver Process Orchestration, business-to-business add-on 1.0" and found some information about user roles. SAP_XI_CONTENT_ORGANIZER_J2EE ( I assigned it to my user, but it did not help)

SAP_XI_B2B_ADMINISTRATOR_J2EE and SAP_XI_B2B_CONFIGURATOR_J2EE (those roles don't exist)

What kind of permissions I need for being able to configure message formats?

Hi Natalia,

The roles that are required for creating/editing message types are SAP_XI_B2B_ADMINISTRATOR_J2EE and SAP_XI_B2B_CONFIGURATOR_J2EE. We would like to verify why these roles are missing in your system.

Could you please check whether the app 'customization~uiactions' is deployed and started on your server? This app is a part of the SCA 'PIB2BTOOLKIT'.

1)If the app is not deployed, please re-deploy this SCA and verify.

2)If the app is deployed but not started, kindly start the app and verify.

If the problem still persists, please create a ticket.

Thank you.

The problem was because the 'customization~uiactions' app was deployed but was not started.

Now I am able to create new messages, but only in the new Control Key. Is it correct?

I need some standart EDIFACT messages which are not  in current addon version. For example I need CUSCAR,  PENSUM, COARRI, CODECO. Is it possible that this messages would be provided in next addon version (if yes, how soon?) or I should start to create it by myself?
