Difference between SAP Netweaver BW connection and Query Brwoser

Hi All,

We can connect to BEx Query directly from dashboard in two ways.

One is by using SAP netweaver BW conncetion and other is from Query Browser

What is the difference between these two connections and advantages of each one.

Which one is called BICS connection.
