Hi All,

The depreciation area 32 is greyed out so the user can't enter values manually.

I have checked through OABC & OABD & removed the identical check box. if i remove the check box

they cant post the assets and if i dont remove  they cant change the life of assets ,But the solution architect is stating that this is not the correct

thing to do this he is not giving a go ahead. He is asking me  to find an alternate way.

Can anybody help???

Thanks in advance.

As you already know, set the flag identical in OABC & OABD will affect the system behavior in AS01 when create asset, there is no other standard way to change it.

if you want to change the area in AS01/AS02, please untick the flag in OABC and OABD. there will be no other affect.

Hi

In T-code OAYZ, select your Asset Class > Depreciation areas and remove the tick mark from the Deact column against the Depreciation area and save. Hope this will solve your issue.

Hi Anand,

In OAYZ can you please select the Depreciation Area and from Edit menu click on Change Field content to check.

(Hope the asset you are trying is not having the deactivation date at the master data level)

Thanks
