Thumb rule calculation for aggregate creation

Hi,

      1.) I want to create aggregate, for these what are the statistics calculation i has to do...

      What is thumb rule can any one explain me.

      2) Please can any one provide, real time scenarios of customer exit and look up.

Hi,

If a query performance is low, 2 thumb rules to be followed to decide if an aggregate will actually increase the performance or not.

1. summation ratio > 10

2. Percentage of db time > 30% of the total query runtime.

Please note that building an aggreagate will only improve the db access time.
