At some point mid-week, my view of SCN in the Chrome browser is totally garbled. I've asked others around me if they're seeing the same thing I am, and they are not.

Clearly this is 'my' issue but wondering if anyone esle is seeing this.

Hi Brian,

we shipped an update, but that shouldn't cause this mess. Please clean all your browser caches and try again.

My view is not as bad as what Brian shows above but I am experiencing the same formatting problem reported here:

The fix was simple; clearing the cache was all it took. Just strange how it happened suddenly.

More issues with Chrome.

All of a sudden one day I noticed two problem:

  1. I cannot login to SCN via Chrome.
  2. SCN search does not funciton.

If I click on any regular SCN link from e.g. an email notification, the screen gets stuck with a blank screen in authentication mode.

Similarly, if I enter a search term in SCN search, I get a blank screen.

Also, if I click "Login" in the masthead, the screen gets stuck looking like this:

I've cleared cached, reinstalled the browser, and ensured I'm using the proper certificate by eliminating all but the one certificate.

Any suggestions?

What happens if you try in incognito mode?

I also had this problem day before yesterday with Chrome - "I was also not able to login"

Even clearing Cache was not helpful

I also tried Incognito mode and it worked for me

But since yesterday everything is running fine

Not sure what was the issue

Regards,

Vivek

Curious: can you help pinpoint the issue?

  1. Circumstances when error page appeared: was it after login with newly opened browser, logging in again during the same sessions (after logout)
  2. did you use a certificate to login?
  3. Browser type and version
  4. Date, time and node used (visit http://scn.sap.com/nodeid.jsp and report node ID)

Hi

I have the same problem as Brian with FFox, after upating to v27 (http://scn.sap.com/message/14767295).

I'm using certificate login, I've also got the problem with FFox 30.0a1

I'm never able to login on SCN, stuck on grayed out page even with "private browsing" mode

Node ID : scnjive-prod-app8.dmzwdf.sap.corp (2013-02/09, 15:15:40.000 CET)

Sounds like I did not get answer from https://accounts.sap.com/saml2/idp/sso/accounts.sap.com?SAMLRequest=[...]

Am i the only one who's using Firefox 27? Sign on does not work

I've changed security.tls.version.max in firefox (about:config) from 3 to 1 and SSO is back !

I deleted my cookies and voila! - login and search are once again functional.

Hi - solved this by clearing his cookies: can you try the same?

I had the exact same issue - Bad Request when using Chrome.

Clearing my cookies (for all "scn" cookies) resolved the issue.

Chrome continues to play games:

Yesterday, the browser did not render any SCN links/content; pages appeared simply blank.

Today, I am getting this:

Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.

 Cookie: IDS_PassiveLogonDone=1; IN_HASH=comment-345613%3...

I cleared cache, including cookies, but still I cannot access SCN with Chrome.

My Chrome is okay, nothing had changed this week with SCN appearance (but mine is the German version of Chrome)
