date merging issue with BEx query & direct excel

Dear All,

i am using SAP BO BI4 sp05 patch 2

i have 1 BW report which gives production actual on each day & i have 1 excel file targets on each day

date is not merging when i use BW bex query (using BICS) & a  direct excel file.

anybody faced this issue & how was it solved

rich client does not show any error it simple merges but when i display the data in vertical table i get 2 dates & 2 measures

i get the output as shown below

2 records come in output for merged date

Can you try using ForcedMerge? Have you defined any calculation context already?

i already tried foremerge it did not work & there is no calculation context

Hi,

are you merging by key on the BEx side with a corresponding text field from Excel?

Dear Victor,

i am using dimention from both Bex &  excel

And date column is set to date format in excel.

1 more point. we recently migrated from BI 4 SP02 patch 4 to SP05 patch 2 the merging was working fine before the upgrade

when we informed to SAP they replied this is a bug in software   awaiting for thier reply from past 1 week.

Set the date in excel not to be a date, but rather a text and at the same time use the key from BEx, not the dimension object, I'm sure it will work.
