Costing of Raw material without effecting the costing of Finished Good

Dear Experts,

There is a scenario in my current client:

We need to run Cost estimates for some particulars Raw Material also.

But changes in cost of this RM, should not impact the Finished Goods cost which have been produced by using this RM.

Also we need the report of Price comparision between previous & current for this RM.

Is there any process available in Standard SAP?

Please suggest......!!!!

Regards,

Hitesh

Hi Hitesh Agrawal

I think what you want is possible without excluding raws in the standard cost estimate run.

Could you explain better your scenario? I have some questions:

1: Your RawM is valuated at Standard  or Variable ?

2: What is the rule you want to use to valuate standard cost for Raw Material?

3: Which value you want to use to valuate the Raw Material in the costing run for the Finished Product ?

Hi

Am not sure why you wanna do this.. But here is the solution

Release the cost of FG first and then release the cost of RM.. It wont impact FG cost at all

Also, if the price control of RM is V and you are calculating std cost only for info sake, use theval strategy as MAP in your val variant and keep Std cost as last option.. This way, std cost for RM wont impact FG cost

History of current and previous price can be had from MBEWH (History table)
