Hi Experts
When MRP runs I want planned orders to be created for my finished materials. But planned orders should be created only against the forecast that I put in MD61. No planned orders should be created against sales orders. I may have sales orders created for a material for the whole year. But for the same material there will beforecast created in MD61 for next two months. So when MRP runs for this material it should create planned orders for next two months only. What are the settings that I have to do for this.

Hi,
you need to define a strategy group (planning strategies) in the material master (MRP 3) for each material.
Define or select a group that doesn't include customer requirements.

If you don't want to consider sales order while processing MRP assign schedule line CN No MRP for sales order item in procurement tab.
Please check and revert.

Use MTS startegy for the material such as 10, 11, or 40. It should work for the requirement you specified.

Hi,
1) If you want only consider your MD61 Requirements (Independents Requirements) then you use Planning Strategy Group "10", here system will only consider your independents requirements, NO sales order.
2) But if you wnat consider both requirements then you need to use Planning Strategy Group "40", here system will consider your PIR and Sales order.
3) If you want only consider sales order (customer Requirements) then you need to use planning strategy Group "20", this is only related Customer Requirements, (MRP run tcode- MD50)
- If you use 2nd option then your independents requirements consumes against sales order.
