Data loading issue in flat file extractor from Application Server

Hi Experts,

I am facing an error while loading flat file from application server into BW.

Error text is : 'The argument 'erintegrat'  cannot be interpreted as' at conversion exit RSDS_CONVERT_NUMBER.

Read preview data from Datasource works sucessfully for first 8744 records but when we increase the no. of records it gives the above error message.

The error meassage shows error at Record no. 8745 but 8745 data record does not have any data issue.

However when i tried to load the same file from local workstation it could load data without any errors. Complete file is loaded. No. Of records are more than 15,000. I am unable to find as to why is this happening?

Is there any limitation to file size in application layer because of which we are getting the same error always at Record no.  8745.

Helpful answers would be awarded points.

Regards
Sakshi

Hi,

Check the records 8744 , 8745 & 8746 for any kind of unusual data in comparison with other above lines.

Also try to find out this "erintegrat" value in the file by using CTRL+F.

Hi Arpit,

There is no data issue with these records. Same file is loading without errors when loaded from local workstation.

The error only occurs when we try to load it from Application server.

Hi Sakshi,

There is value as 'erintegrat' in your flat file . so please check carefully again from flat file and find out the data ' erintegrat' is there or not. if there, check the source and target data types are same or not.

please check the below link, its similar kind of issue.

Hi Raman,

Thanks for your inputs. However i checked what you asked me to but could not find the text "erintegrat" in the flat file.

Moreover today the error message has changed to :

Error 'The argument 'warning)(' cannot be interpreted as' at conversion exit RSDS_CONVERT_NUMBER (field /BIC/SMTKTCNT record 9176, value warning) ()
