Hi Pavel,

Regarding your Query, In SAP Business Objects Data Services we use Local & Central Repository and to Configure Local & Central Repository we need a database in any of these RDBMS Application (Oracle, MY SQL, SQL Server, DB2......).

And we need to pass these Database Credential at the time of Creation of Local & Central Repository using Data Services repository Manager.

So if you create Windows Authentication or SQL Server Authentication in SQL Server Database you need to pass the parameter at the time of Configuration of Local & Central Repository using Data Services repository Manager.

But the Authentication of Enterprise you are taking about is SAP Business Objects Business Intelligence "Authentication Type". For login in SAP Business Objects Application these Authentication (Enterprise, Windows AD,Windows LDAP,SAP,Oracle,SIEBEl,Peoplesoft)  is Used.So there is no any Similarity between these two Authentication.

Hope you will understand what i am trying to say.

Thanks,

Daya

Thanks for you clarificatio Daya!

So, when we are talking about SQLServer authentication we can choose either Windows or SQL Server autjentication. Which is more sutable for Central repository and which one for Local.

Hi Pavel,

You Can go for "SQL Server Authentication" for "Local & Central Repository" because it was more Secure then "Windows Authentication"

Thanks,
Daya
