LDAP + database UME portal

I have configured my ume to use ldap and database. How can I create users in the LDAP and the database?

Do I have a choice of where they are stored when I create them in the portal?

Yep,

You can set up rules to store certain users in ldap and others in database. Thats 1 point of view.

Or else, you can have data specific partition, wherein some info of all users like logon credentials can be stored in ldap and other data of all users can be stored in database like application specific data.

Hope this helps ...

I am wrong to use the term "rules" here ... it should have been "way" ...

Could you please try referring to the following weblog:

In the web log search for "UME also supports data partitioning".

Hope this helps ...
