MM contract without line item

Hi Guys

Is  it possible to have a contract without a line item line in MM like a basic contract in SRM. I tried but not sucessfull. Any idea on this.

No. Blank contract is not possible in MM. You need to have atleast one line item for creating a successful contract.

Thanks Nilesh, i also too tried for this option. In SRM we can have a basic contract entering only the vendor and the total value without line items. I will try to distribute this to ECC and see how the contract is getting created over there as manually its not possible.

Hi,

Yes, you can creates value contract (ME31) with material group by entering G/L account and cost object (cost object may be cost centre or WBS element).

Also you can create contract with Product category in SRM and replicate contract number to ECC!
