Solution manager integration with non sap solutions.

Hello Experts,

I wanted to seek help from you reg. the integration of solution manager 7.1 to non sap systems. I am pretty new to ALM when it comes to integration and monitoring of non sap systems.

Can you please suggest few scenarios where the integration of solution manager and non sap systems is eminent?

I just need some leads to enhance my understanding when it comes to non sap solutions integration to solution manager.

The new MAI (Monitoring and Alerting Infrastructure) in SSM 7.1 gives you the opportunity to monitor anything you want...

So for non-SAP it means you can install an SMD and host Agent on the particular host and start configuring your own metrics to monitor anything (error, processes, logfiles).

You can definately perform the non SAP monitoring with SAP Solution Manager 7.1 but i hope you are clear it is only covered for Enterprise Support customers.

Further you need to add those systems to SLD or in turn LMDB.
