Can not open key figure node again on hierarchy ??

Hi,

In our workbook we want to create a node based on a infoobject and key fıgures.

As shown in the picture, first we are able to collapse the node by pushing the minus sign. But after that  we are unable to open the node again. Because our subnodes are keyfigures. But if we have a query based on just infoobjects in rows, we can collapse and open the hierarchies again and again without any problems.

This issue is not about Query designer it is about Analysis tool because we can open the node in Bex Analyzer.

Have you ever encountered with this problem before, can you help me? Thanks.

Hi,

I did a test with a hierarchical key figure structure in the latest Analysis version and everything works fine as expected (be aware that this is not supported in other BO Tools). Also, sharing a screenshot of the BEx query would be helpful to have the same understanding. Which exact Analysis version are you using? If you are not on the latest one, then go ahead and do a test on the updated version.

which patch do you have installed? An screenshot of the "about" window would answer this question.

I dont see a hierarchical key figure structure in your screenshot. Can you share a screenshot of both Columns and Rows of the BEx query?

This is the version and patch info.

In rows there are two steps. You can se it 1st is "Magaza Kars.." and second is "Gostergeler" from my previous pic. So there is one node between them. When I open the workbook firs I can collapse that node, bıt after that I can not open it again. But if I use an infoobjects instead of key fıgure group in second level, I can open it.

My Query designer full screenshot.

as you can see in highlighted area first i have an infoobject, then key figure group then infoobject again.

in workbook :

there are some datas in firs node. i can collapse ans open again if data exist in that key fıgures.

But in the bottom nodes (NEW & OPN) there arent any data. so when i collapse the node it can not open again.

I think that this is a bug of this tool. Because when i open the same query in Analyzer there is no problem. So no need to change sometihng in Designer screen. Could you please try the same build maybe I am missing something.

Hello Özlem,

great, with your last screenshots I am now able to understand what you mean. The confusion arised from the fact that you are not using a Hierarchy, but rather you are displaying the objects in the rows (mix of characteristics and KF Structure) as a hierarchy with the axis setting "Display as Hierarchy".

I can see the behaviour you describe in the latest Analysis version and the difference comparing to BEx analyzer. There is nothing that you are missing, that is simply the current behaviour of the product, feel free to open a case with SAP Support to have a support engeneer check that.

Can you please guide me for support center. Because in our customer we have only Business Objects license. Not Business Objects Analysis license i guess.
