Hi, I setup my NW Cloud account long before HANA was available as a db. Now that it is.... How do I switch over to make HANA the db? I've read that you have to specify the db you want to use when you create your account but this doesn't help if you already have an account.
Regards... Jason.
Hi Jason,
unfortunately changing the DB type is not yet possible automatically.
Let us know if you want your account switched to HANA.
There are some limitations though:
* Any existing DB Users/Schemas will not be changed!
* Persistence of existing applications will stay on the same DB server, there is no migration.
* If an application/component name has been used in the past, a DB User/Schema already exists, even if the application has since been undeployed again. If a new application with the same application/component name is deployed the old DB User/Schema /using the old DB Type) will be re-attached and re-used.
* Only newly created DB Users/Schemas (for applications with application/component name which has never been used before in this account will use the Default DB Type set with this procedure.

Hi Channel,
You can create multiple accounts on your own and choose the default DB type during creation. The documentation can be found at the following location.

Hi,
I just tried to change it, I already have an existing account (so I can't see the "account creation screen").
I tried to register for a new one (I want to use the same email address), but it says: An account already exists with that e-mail. Register another or sign on with the e-mail.

Hi Channel,
You cannot change the existing account, rather creating the new one with another mail address should be possible.
If you want to use the same account but with different DB, then the old application name should not be used, in your case 'mailtest'.
After the switch you need to deploy the application with differnt name. please do let us know so that we can go ahead and change this.

Hi Ganesh.
Could you please change my default DB to HANA on SAP HANA cloud. I know that I will have to change my application names.
My account name is: i014828trial
