Hi

As per my knowledge it is Fiscal year base and also please check your client presently how they are submitting to the Central Excise Department ( Calendor year or Fiscal year)

Based on that maintain the Number ranges

If it is Fiscal Year then in the CIN settings , Company code Settings "First Month - Mention APRIL"

If it is calendor year then Mention - January

PATH : SPRO--> Logistics General --> Tax on Goods Movements--> INDIA-->Basic Settings-->Maintain Company code Settings

Hi

Abhishek,

All legal reporting in India will happen from April to March only.

Hence you need to maintain the number ranges as per this fiscal/excise years.

Hi,

If you can seat with excise user from your company he could have answered your question easily.

In India, all excise rather financial transactions are from 1st Aril till 31st March. Excise numbers are no way escaped from  this.

We need have new number ranges from 1st of April every year. Even this has been configured in CIN as well. Year variant is used for this purpose. You need to just assign this year variant, and create number range for year. System will automatically pick new number range once new financial year starts.
