Hi Michele,

which version of BPC have you installed? Are you using Active directory or CMS? Is this an admin user that basis used to install BPC?

Kind regards

Hi Robert

The version is 7.5 ms but I don't know about Active directory and CMS.

I connect to the server SQL using the user bpcsysAdmin.

I don;t know if I need the user scom.monitor and scv_osoftSysAdmin

thanks

Hi Michele,

These 2 are not system generated, so, please find out who has added these user IDs in the admin console.

Typically, the users are added either through CMS or active directory.

Hope this helps.

Hi Michele,

open the bpc Server manager and see if CMS is enabled or AD.

You can also see it in the admin console click on security, add new user and see if you see domains where you can find users.

You should ask to the basis what are the users they use to install BPC, if these aren't the admin users they used you can delete, but better copy the profile so if someone ask for the user you can rebuild it quickly with the same rights.

Kind regards

Hi Robert

I have opened  the bpc Server Manager and I see the option enable CMS authentication mode so I think that is not enabled but I don't find information about AD.

If I try to add a new user I see the domain that I use to log in on windows

thanks

Hi Michele,

The users are imported either from CMS or AD. If you are seeing the windows domain while adding the users, this means that the system is linked to windows AD. And you can add any user to BPC that is existing in the Windows AD. You can enable CMS. However, you need to decide whether you want to import the users from AD or CMS?

Hi Michele,

if so you are on AD you must only be sure that they aren't the users used from the basis to install BPC, if so you must leave these otherwise you can delete these users (remember to save the profile ... in case of recreating).

Kind regards
