PO release

0 Kudos

Dear all

I have a question about our PO release procedure.

After we release a subcontracting order, if we change qty of BOM in this order, I found we do not need to release this Sub-PO again.

So what should I do if we want to active the release procedure again after change qty of BOM in this order?

Bella.

dear all:

our release strategy is base on the docment type and  Purchasing group;

if i realese the PO, after i changed the qty of the standard PO, the PO need to release agaoin,

but if i just change the the qty in BOM of subcontracting PO, the PO do not need to release again.

the value against the vendor (money that will leave your company) does not change if you change the quantity of a component. This PO value is nothing else than the quantity of the service and the price for the service, the components are not part of the PO value. Just check the conditions tab in your PO. Do you see there anywhere a value for the components?

as you said when you change Qty in std PO the release strategy re-trigger that is because when you are changing the Qty that also leading to PO value change which trigger the release strategy again depends on the new value.

Here in your sobcontracting PO the amount is entered which you will pay to sub cont. vendor for his work/services while you sending him all the components/parts required to assemble/produce. by changing the qty of components doest not change the PO value.

Try to change the total value by changing the Service price or Qty of main material in Item Overview which will be provided by vendor once you have sent him the components and vendor has performed his task, in that case the release strategy should re-triggered because value is changing.

based on what is your release?

if it is based on the value, then your value did not change with a change of the components, as the only value in the subcontract order is the service fee.

if you want include the value of the components, then you need to use the exit provided for the release strategy.
