Wrong Kernel CD for Import of target system

Re: Installation Master DVD for system copyDear all,

I've finished the Export for OS migration of Non-Unicode Central instance SAP ECC6.0 NW70 SR2 Oracle 11.2.0.3 on HP-UX 11.31. to RedHat 6.

Now I've started the SWPM 1.0 to install the target system and import.

On the Media Browser -> Software Package Request, for the Kernel, even I have deselected the checkbok for Unicode System (Recomended), the request is for : UC Kernel NW 7.20 / 7.21

I tried to put my Kernel CD Kernel_7.20_EXT_LINUX__x86_64_PPC64__ (51045218_2      720_EXT NUC Kernel for SWPM - Linux on x86_64 64bit ), but I got error:

Found the label SAP:AKK:720_EXT:DVD_KERNEL:SAP Kernel 720_EXT:Dxxxxxxxx:*:D51045218 but need the label SAP:AKK:72:UKERNEL:*:LINUX_X86_64:*

This Kernel CD I was using is for SWPM. Maybe I should download the NW 7.0 SR3 Kernel 7.00 Linux on x86_64 64bit (51033508_1)

Do you know why SWPM is still searching for Unicode Kernel CD, I deselected the Unicode part in General parameters screen?

Why I can't use the 720_EXT version of Kernel (SWPM is searching for 72:UKERNEL)?

Thank you in advance.

Ruzica

Hi,

Since youa re using Non-Unicode , I would suggest you to use SAPINST rather than using SWPM.

SWPM is the latest tool from SAP for installation and other activities and I'm not sure whether it will be compatible for using Non-Unicode system actitivties.

Please download the below DVD and select system copy option ->  Target System installation -> Non-unicode -> and proceed further.

51044566_7   NW 7.01 SR1 Inst.Mst. Linux x86_64 64bit f. Oracle 10.2/11.2

I believe it should work for you.

Hello Vimal,

I could't find this CDs with Installation Master. I only see the Upgrade master CDs.

As you mentioned I tried to search the CDs but I couldn't find and I opened SAP message in order they can make me available the right media.

They've told me that the SWPM is the tool I should use.

Now I'll update the SAP message with this new problem with UC Kernel.

Hi,

Did you mention that you are working on NON-UNICODE MIGRATION??

Since you are using NON-Unicode system, we can work on a shortcut?

If yes, Can you please attach the error screenshot please?

I will let you know on the next step.

You can also raise a message in the meantime.

Hi,

Please perform the following.

1. Take a backup of your 720_EXT NUC kernel folder.

2.Navigate inside and you can see a LABEL.ASC file.. RENAME It.

3. download the attached LABEL.txt file and rename it to LABEL.ASC

4.replace it  in the 720_EXT NUC folder where you have renamed the LABEL.ASC file before.

5.Point SWPM to this LABEL.ASC

Please provide your feedback.

Hello,

I've got the answer from SAP and the solution is the SAP KBA #1654937 - How to correctly build the SAP Netweaver Kernel Media.

I've downloaded the kernel media for Unicode and Non-Unicode and then a changed the label.asc in the

from
SAP:AKK:720:KERNEL:SAP Kernel 720:LINUX_X86_64:CD51030xxx
to
SAP:AKK:72:KERNEL:SAP Kernel 720:LINUX_X86_64:CD51030xxx
and
from
SAP:AKK:720:UKERNEL:SAP Kernel 720:LINUX_X86_64:CD51030xxx
to
SAP:AKK:72:UKERNEL:SAP Kernel 720:LINUX_X86_64:CD51030xxx

Now I'm on the next screen OS user parameters.

Do you know why the SAP System Administrator is

Account : sapadm ?

My DBSID is TST and the SAP system administrator should be tstadm. Or not?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Ruzica,

sapadm is used for saphostcntrl agent. It is a standard user which is created during all new installations . It is used to capture host performance data.

It is not related to your system SID.

Hi,

  This is for installing hostagent

Now a days, by default, it is being installed by default along with the installation / Migrations.

Please provide the password for sapadm

It is not possible to skip this option in today's sapinst or swpm.

So please proceed with the password and continue.

Regarding the label.ASC, i have provided the same label.asc to you as suggested by SAP too.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi,

Thank you, I've proceed with the next screen now.

Regarding the label.acs yes, you propose the same but the other kernel media should be also included just like in the note #1654937 .

Dear all,

I've proceed with the installation of the target, but now I've got new error sapinst.log:

CJS-30022 Program 'Migration Monitor' exits with error code 103. For details see log file(s) import_monitor.java.log, import_monitor.log.

In the import_monitor.log there was 4 Errors:
Loading of 'SAPSLEXC' import package is interrupted with R3load error.
Loading of 'SAPAPPL1' import package is interrupted with R3load error.
Loading of 'SAPSSEXC' import package is interrupted with R3load error.
Loading of 'SAP0000' import package is interrupted with R3load error.

In all 4 logs SAPSLEXC.log, SAP0000.log, SAPSLEXC.log, SAPAPPL1.log the same errors:
ORA-00959: tablespace 'PSAPSR370000D' does not exist
DbSl Trace: ORA-1403 when accessing table SAPUSER

This tablespace does not exist on the source with this 70000D.

I've looked in the Notes 1689026 - Installation of NW 7.0x Systems with Oracle Client 11.2.0x and Note 1642058 - Adapt SAPInst Oracle Clien 11.2.0.x.
Should I implement Method 1 from the above notes or not beacuse I'm using the SWPM tool and the last 720_EXT kernel and the link for Oracle client 10x_64 to 11x_64 was already prepared durring the installation?

Do I have to input data in the table SAPUSER?
brconnect -u system/manager -f chpass -o sapsr3 -p Pass1

How I can proceed with the import of the target?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Ruzica,

SAP note talks about Latest bundle patch for 11.2.0.3 dated March 2013.

If this bundle patch is not applied , you may follow the workaround mentioned in this note.

DROP TABLESPACE PSAPSR370000D INCLUDING CONTENTS AND DATAFILES ;
