Error in security - sale transaction

Hi,

Im facing issues in the below scenario.

1. Created security class in FWZZ

2. Purchased 100 qty in the above class.

3.Below error while selling 50 qty .

Short position in accounting code 1001, val. area 001, ID No. IZA851824CH30, date
2012/12/10

1. Messageno. TPM_TRL062

TPM26 is showing security class position with qty 100 but still we are not able to sell 50 qty.

Recently we have migrated from UNIX to Windows and I doubt this is because of some infrastructure related issue.

Any help on this is highly appriciated.

Hi Venkat

I think Akhils comments are not relevant but I want to ask you if you migrated to EHP6. If yes I assume you entered a purchase and a sale with a new Security ID and you posted them together. If I am right so far please check if the purchase has really been posted or not. If you are not sure please open a new security ID, create a purchase of 100, settle and post the deal. In a second step do a sale of 50 and then settle the deal and post the deal. I would bet that you do not get the error then. If I am right please let me know.

I am currently facing the same problem with a commodity future purchase and sale and I have opened an OSS message already.

Hi,

Kindly check the following while making the sale entry :-

1) Class ID should be same as purchase

2) Security Account should be same as purchase

3) General Valuation Class should be same as purchase

4) Portfolio should also be same.

5) Sale date can be on the same date as purchase or later date.
