Problem on initial config step of hana studio

Hello,

I was watching the great video "Native HANA Dev Workshop: Getting Started" from Thoman Jung on Youtube.

To the point where I have to open

SAP HANA Studio --> Menu --> Window --> Preferences --> SA HANA Development --> Repository Access

and select the right location of the SAP HANA Repository client (regi).

I'm working with Debian 6 (64bit) and already installed both Studio and Client (both 64bit linux application packages) to my machine using the apropriate hdbsetup applications.

But trying to select the right location in the Preferences of the HANA Studio I always get the error message:

"Error getting repository client version. /usr/sap/hdbclient/regi: error while loading shared libraries: libaio.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

What do I wrong? Does someone know any workaround / solution to get this running?

Many thanks in advance!

Kind regards,

Anton

I come across the same problem, but in Win7.   "Error getting repository client version.Repository client not properly configured."

Why this? Do you know it? Thanks!

Click on "Browse" and choose the regi.exe in you HANA client installation folder (default is c:\Program Files\sap\hdbclient\regi.exe)

If you don't have HANA client, you need to download and install it (from SMP or the HANA dev center homepage)

oh, thankyou, but  there is't a file name regi.exe. I reinstall the software but none. My HANA client is Win32 ..  you see..

Hi WangPeng,

Only 64-bit HANA client has the regi tool. It is not yet supported on 32-bit.

Thanks,

Sharan
