Independent requirements reduction with STO from storage location to storage location

Hello,

Note '691513 - Req not reduced during stck transfer betw MRP areas in plant' suggest that it is possible to reduce indep. requirements when transferring material from storage location to storage location within same plant, if the storage locations are managed as different MRP area's.

However, when using stocktransfer orders with outbound deliveries, resulting in movement type 647, it does not work. When doing GI for outbound delivery, the withdrawal quantity is not updated.

Does anyone know whether is supported, and which note/configuration is needed?

thanks for any support

Jean

Hi Jean

Even with a correct consumption of the PIR, the requirement type/class setting may cause an incorrect reduction. You should see also the following KBA:

1715491 - Planned independent requirements consumption/reduction by sales order and delivery

Hello

I have created note 1819952 with instructions to correct the opposite scenario, however, the involved customizing is basically the same. You should only make sure that a requirement type that reduces independent requirements is assigned to the delivery item category.

Hello Caetano,

thank you for your response.

Stock transfer orders and deliveries (as long as not posted GI) do consume the planning. But when doing GI, the withdrawal quantity is not updated. So I guess configuration of requirement type is ok. The fact that it does not update the withdrawal quantity during GI is at least not consistent with dynamic consumption of STO/delivery.

Anyway your comment and link to the note was usefull.

thanks

Jean
