Detected duplicate member ID error while loading masterdata for GL account

Dear Experts,

The attribute load for 0GL_ACCOUNT was succesful,

Validation of the conversion & trasnformation file was succesfull for hierarchy, but when i run the 'Import Master data hierarchy for NW BW Infoobject' i am getting the below error

Hi

I sometimes get this error when the Financial Statement Version or other infoobjects contain nodes that have the same number/name as the base objects (accounts/profit centers) etc. This may result in duplicate member ids in the dimension.

If this is the case, you can simply remove the duplicates by either transformation or BADI.

Thanks for your help, All where correct, the same GL's was used in diffrent nodes of the hierarchy but i cannot delete the duplicates, since the same GL is used in Assets & Liabilities nodes depending upon the Debit or credit.

But in BPC we cannot have a GL being used twice in the same structure.

Kindly advice.

Hi Gowtham,

In BPC its not allowed to have same GL account in multiple times in hier str.  you may need some changes. please check with your BW functional team, is it possible to change hier str of GL accounts which are added in Assets & Liabilities.

Hi Gowtham,

If the same string is appearing in multiple nodes in the same hierarchy, then in BPC, you can create multiple members by concatenating the node and the GL.

are you considering chart of accounts while loading attributes/texts ? i mean ID=0COA+ID or its just ID ?  While loading hierarchy you need to consider how NODENAME is stored in hierarchic table in BI . 0GL_ACCOUNT is compounding info object . so need to consider chart of accounts in transformation logic in both cases  ie  excluding COA/including COA in ID .

Above mentioned GL Accounts are duplicated, so please check at dimension level.

Hi Raman,

I checked the 0GL_ACCOUNT Infoobject there is no duplicated found.

While loading the attributes it is working fine, since i give the chart of accounts in 'Set Selection'

But while loading the Hierarchy there is no selection for Chart of accounts, only the hierarchy ID and level is present.

I checked with giving different levels also, but its working for first 3 levels may be there is no base level gl account till that level.

Is the issues related with the chart of accounts??

Hi Gowtham,

Check your hierarchy str, duplicate nodes may be there. check again at BW hier str. if you have the same accounts in multiple times as nodes in Hier str, you need to change your str..
