Hi All, I have a requirement where as BP's needs to be replicated from one ERP system to another ERP system.
As anyone come across such a scenario, can anyone please suggest whether to utilise ale or PI. Also what are message types to be used.
regards
Sajcon
You may contact your basis guy. Since the ERP systems are different i fear this will not happen.
Thanks,
Shiva

Eventhough External System You need to build some of the fields or Screens in SAP which is a Tedious Task for ABAPer.
Firstly Confirm what is the Current System BP Flow and where it can be fitted in SAP. Then you can think how to Modify SAP. And one more thing is Like you will be able to update the transactions done from External system to SAP System once the Flow is Proper and Necessary settings done in SAP.
Thanks,
Shiva
Hi Shiva, ERP2 will be used to make payments and ERP1 will be utilized to calculate the payment. So ones the payment is done thru erp2 the payment details needs to be send back.
we are thinking of using an interface to replicate the master data and then the payment data..
uploads will not serve the purpose here. what do u think.

We created our own smaller IDOCs based on the standard IDOCs DEBMAS (customer master) and CREMAS (vendor master) because we only distribute "global" data (our own definition of global data - e.g. complete address and tax fields, payment data; classification; but no fax or telephone numbers)
Here we defined a serialization group, that holds e.g. CREMAS and ADRMAS and CLFMAS
further we activated change pointers for those IDOCs, whenever a change (or creation) is made in the central system a job then distributes this master data to the satellite systems.
Please search SCN, there are many blogs and documents and wikis about ALE and distribution of data between SAP systems
go to http://help.sap.com/
in the menu on top of the page you can find SAP Best Practises
click this and then navigate through the menu on the left
Discussion moved from SAP ERP - Logistics Materials Management (SAP MM) to ABAP Connectivity
Hopefully in this forum someone can tell you more about middleware in this scenario.
