New electronic bank statement functions (EhP 6)

Hi all

I am currently working on a project with EhP 6. The new business function FIN_BL_EB_1 FI-BL (Importing and Postprocessing of the Electronic Bank Statement) was activated. I am starting to understand what the possibilities are with this business function. What is unclear to me is how does the import program (t-code FEB_FILE_HANDLING) recognize the format of the MT9-messages. More specific, how does the system recognize the difference between MT940 and MT942? Also, how is the difference between structured and unstructured MT940 recognized? In the old set-up, using FF_5 for the import you could indicate statement format (G, I and S).

    Hi Krispijn,

Bank statement processing is still done by program RFEBKA00

T-code FEB_FILE_HANDLING, is to import the file automatically, Setting for automatic import can be done in SPRO with the following menu >

Customizing of Bank Accounting under > Electronic Bank Statement >Settings for the Data Import.
